  I just discovered your blog and I am responding to Part 5 of 40 years of Model Railroader.  I found it very interesting how you color coded the various issues then comented on the editors.  
  I agree that the mag has gone downhill since the late eighties.  I&#039;ve always felt that Westcott was superb as an editor and Larson followed well in his footsteps.
  I noticed a downhill slope after Sperandeo took over and I am thoroughly dismayed with what Thompson has done to this magazine.  It seems there was a lot of change simply for change sake and articles, in the traditional sense, have become nearly non-existant.
  My point is, I&#039;m glad to see that I&#039;m not alone in my feelings.  I am hoping that someday, Dave Popp moves in to the editor&#039;s office.  I like his style and think he can turn things around for us.
